Aventor Preservation Cream (Aventor CRP)

The Aventor Preservation Cream, also known as Aventor CRP, is a specialist conservation product designed to protect and enhance the natural patina of coins and metal artefacts. It is formulated to nourish the surface of historic metals while providing a protective barrier against environmental damage.

The cream works by enhancing the natural colour of existing patina rather than masking it, making it ideal for detectorists, collectors, and conservators who want to preserve the authentic appearance of their finds.

To apply, use a small amount of cream on a cotton swab and gently rub it into the surface of the object. The process can be repeated if required, and any excess cream should be removed with a soft cloth. This controlled application makes it suitable for both small coins and larger artefacts.

Aventor Preservation Cream is available in a range of colours, allowing you to select the most appropriate option to complement the natural patina of different metals and alloys:

Green

Ideal for copper and copper-alloy artefacts with green or oxidised patina.

Brown

Best suited for red or brown patinas and well-preserved bronze retaining original colour.

Black

Designed for artefacts that have darkened naturally with age.

Aventor Preservation Cream is best used as a final conservation step after careful cleaning with gentle tools such as a coin brush, composite cleaning pencil, or fibreglass pen.
